Holiday Festivities in Cobb

The East Cobb area is filled with many festive holiday events this year.
We’ve posted these events in our Calendar. Subscribe so that you don’t miss a single thing.
This year we’ve got some brand new holiday options and we are SUPER stoked about this one! The ICE SKATING RINK at the Marietta Square and the BALL DROP on New Year’s! Can you say ‘date-night’?! Share your selfies on the square with us! #eastcobbSELFIE
Here’s some pertinent details and links to more info.

  • Open-air ice skating rink in Glover Park:
    Opens Friday, Nov. 20th 4:30-11pm
    Daily Mon-Thurs, 4:30-10pm
    Sundays Noon-10pm.
Price: $12 (includes entrance fee and skate rental)
  • Santa’s arrival on the Square this year is December 3rd. Performances begin at 5pm with Santa’s grand entrance at 5:20 pm. The Christmas tree will be lit at 6pm that same evening.
  • Visit Santa at his workshop until 8pm that night and on Saturdays/Sundays until December 20th. He will also remain in his workshop from December 21st daily until Christmas Eve. Let the kids make their own toys in Santa’s workshop sponsored by The Home Depot. (dates/times TBA)

The Marietta Square did not forget a thing this year. In addition to the Winter Wonderland, they have introduced Marietta to its own New Year’s Eve ball drop! In fact, there will be 2 ball drops, one for the little ones at 7pm on December 31st, and a second drop (for all y’all who can still stay up late) at midnight! Local restaurants and vendors plan to remain open late.

More information about Marietta Square Winter Wonderland & New Year’s Eve Celebration can be found here.

If you missed the tree lighting at the Marietta Square, East Cobb Park’s holiday lighting is Sunday December 6th at 5pm. Enjoy music, lights and visit Santa in his light-powered sleigh!
*The event is free, and light refreshments will be available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting park improvements and enhancements.  Parking arrangements are like last year: first come first serve with over-flow parking at Fuller’s park.

Finally, down the road at The Avenue, visit Santa and ride a horse drawn carriage before you dine and shop!
Holiday Carriage Rides | Santa Photos @ The Avenue at East Cobb
Beginning Friday, December 11th, and each Friday before Christmas from 3pm-7pm.Enjoy complimentary horse drawn carriage rides, holiday music and visits with Santa at The Avenue.
One note: Remember last year’s lines…make sure you arrive in enough time to ‘enjoy’ the line for the carriage rides & Santa…or better yet, there are 3 Fridays this event is open so, choose Carriage rides one Friday and Santa the next!
