The Tavola Story
If you get a chance to talk to Tavola Owner Vince Gallucci, three things will be clear – his passion for good food, his love for the East Cobb community and his dedication to a great family experience at the dinner table. The native of New Jersey and his wife Nicole are both grandchildren of Italian immigrants, who grew up enjoying laughter and life over a bowl of authentic pasta or a nice cup of espresso.
And their love for the experience at the dinner table led them to name their new restaurant Tavola, which means “table” in Italian. The table is the center point at their own family home and Tavola is a family business. When you dine at Tavola, you might find 13-year-old Isabella Gallucci or 11-year-old Vincent Gallucci delivering a dessert to a customer. The Gallucci’s and their extended family love living in East Cobb, they love the family-oriented community with a growing culture and food scene.
The focus is on authentic food from the southern region of Italy, where both families originated. The menu is a result of the family’s many years of experience running restaurants, which started with a restaurant created and owned by Gallucci’s father-in-law. A recommended dish is called Nonna’s Sunday Dinner, rigatoni pasta with meatballs, sausage and braised pork in Chianti red sauce. To make it an extra authentic meal, Vince says to start with an antipasto and polish the meal off with Italian coffee and tiramisu. Even with a dedication to authenticity, you can get gluten-free pasta and staff works hard to accommodate food allergies and special requests.

Tavola is located at 4719 Lower Roswell Road Marietta 30068. They’re open 7 days a week, Monday – Thursday from 4pm to 10pm Friday & Saturday 4pm to 11pm and Sunday, 11am to 10pm.
